Chairman of Board of the Institute: Dr. Tibor Vámos, academician

Dr. Vámos is member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, a fellow of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers), life-time Advisor of IFAC (International Federation of Automatic Control), former President and now Honorary President, John V. Neumann Society; Honorary Member, Austrian Computer Society and Austrian Society for Cybernetic Studies. He is the author of about 130 scientific publications and 6 books. Recently, Dr Vámos initiated a national research and development project to utilize state-of-the-art computing technology for the e-government process.

Director: Dr. Péter Inzelt

In 1968, after graduating - (with a major in cybernetics) from the Mendeleyev University of Chemical Technology - Russia's leading higher education establishment engaged in training specialists for the chemical industry –, Dr. Péter Inzelt joined the Computer and Automation Research Institute, MTA SZTAKI. In 1987 he completed a PhD at the Institute of Control Problem of the Academy of Sciences of the former USSR and an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at the Budapest Polytechnic Institute. In 1987 he was appointed to the post of Managing Director and in 1993 CEO of the Institute.

Dr Bokor is the Head of Department of Control and Transport Automation, Faculty of Transportation Engineering, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Visiting Fulbright Professor at MIT Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems,. Publications: 270 scientific and technical papers (authored and co-authored), 4 books.

Prof. László Monostori, D.Sc., is member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, MBA, Budapest University of Economics - London Business School, Doctoral Degree in Information Theory, Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Head, External Univ. Dep. of Integrated Production Information Systems (BME – MTA SZTAKI, Member, Scientific Board, Deputy Director, Research and Chairman of the Research Division MTA SZTAKI. Authored or co-authored more than 210 publications mostly in refereed journals, books or conference proceedings.

Dr. Tamás Roska Ph.D., D.Sc, MSc. Electrical Engineering, Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Member of the Academia Europaea (London) and the European Academy of Arts and Sciences (Salzburg), Fellow of the IEEE, and recipient of the Bolyai Prize 2002, Research Professor, Professor of information technology, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at the Pázmány P. Catholic University Budapest., Co-inventor of the CNN Universal Machine and the analogic CNN Bionic Eye (with Professors L. O. Chua and F. S. Werblin of the University of California at Berkeley.
